AICharya is the Listen to Sadhu corpus, opened up so an AI assistant can read it directly. The name is a small pun: an ācārya is the teacher who transmits the text faithfully, and that is exactly the job here — to hand a model the real verse, the real purport, the real lecture, addressed and citable, instead of letting it reconstruct them from memory.
It speaks MCP — the Model Context Protocol, the emerging standard for connecting assistants to tools and data. That means one public URL turns the whole library into something Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Le Chat or Perplexity can search and quote. No account, no key, and strictly read-only: AICharya only ever reads what is already there.
Ask your assistant to “explain Bhagavad-gītā 2.13 with Śrīla Prabhupāda’s purport,” or to “find a lecture where Prabhupāda explains that the soul is eternal,” and it will pull the passage from the corpus, cite it precisely, and — when the answer is a recording — play you the exact moment.

Verses in the original
Fetch any verse with its original Devanāgarī or Bengali, the stored IAST transliteration, and the translation — addressed the way a devotee would, as “BG 2.13” or “ŚB 5.5.3”.
Purports and commentaries
A verse’s purport is one call away, along with prose chapters and letters. The assistant reads the actual commentary, not its impression of it.
The lectures, transcribed
Thousands of transcribed talks and conversations, filterable by author, place, source, date and language — and readable around any moment, so an answer can point at the exact seconds it came from.
Search that means it
A hybrid engine runs a meaning lane and an exact-string lane at once and fuses them, so a paraphrase in plain English and a rare Sanskrit term both find the right passage.
References that resolve
Write a canonical address in either script — the Latin “SB 5.5.3” and its Cyrillic twin “ШБ 5.5.3” land on the very same verse — so a reference is never a lucky phrase match.

When a lecture is the answer, the assistant can render an inline audio player cued to the precise passage — the source spoken aloud, not just quoted.
